how to coax him out

anyone have any idea how to coax my clown knife to come out?

I have lots of hiding spaces, and the severum minds his own business, and i know the clown knife is nocturnal, so i turned of the lights for the night and watched for a few hours and he came out for 5 minutes.

How can i get him out more?

Now, right after i post the question, he comes out.


Just one question. On the bottom part of him, between his stomach and the bottom fin lining, theres a little red dot, not hemorrhagic septicemia since theres no red veins running out of it. what could that be?

No idea about the spot, but maybe we can try and recycle some knowledge a guy at my lfs has to offer. In a saltwater tank, if you want to see the worms cleaning the tank at night, use a red light. Maybe you can try that with your shy guy. apparently, the red light is hard to detect for nocturnal creatures, and doesnt make them feel like they're illuminated.

Im not too worried about the red spot.

That loach that fell in his bag and had major blood under him survived and theres no more visible internal bleeding.

The knife is becoming a bit more active now. He may come out for 2 minutes, and the severum is just curious and looks at it.
