Guys I am so so stoked. I just found..nay..discovered this awesome new fish shop/breeder that I never knew existed! The guy who owns it is my age (envyyy) and very helpful. He has upwards of 50 large (100 - 300 gallon) tanks with the most awesome collection of home bred fish I have ever seen. I stood in awe in front of a massive severum tank and the hugest mbunas I have ever seen just to my left. Inside the store, theres a massive concrete pond with a 4 foot long albino iridescent shark. I swear, all this may not be a big deal to you all, but I was in heaven.
I even picked up a lot of new plants that I've never seen here before..cabombas and java ferns and some awesome crypts..all at incredible prices
The best part is, they also make tanks there and I just bought this beauty!

They are making an overflow in it for me at no extra cost. Yes, you heard me.. no charge for an overflow! Now I just need to work on building a sump. :hmm3grin2orange:

I am super jealous...I live in NJ and don't have anything like that near me. Great find, but now we expect some great pics from you too.

heheh.. Its a 150 gallon. The biggest tank I've owned since the 200 I inherited from my father broke 4 years ago. I have no idea what Im gonna put in it though.. I'm thinking either a semi aggressive cichlid tank or a planted community.
I've had my eye on some severums and firemouths... are those compatible?

Awesome find on the store!
Tank appears to be glass, will it remain frameless, or is it not completed yet?

Awesome tank! What are the dimensions of it?
Severums and firemouths are compatible...you could do a whole mild manored CA with some SA cichlids in there with some tough plant species :22:

heheh.. thanks. I didnt have my camera with me, and it was only when I was leaving that I remembered theres a camera on my phone lol. The next time I visit, I'll definitely walk prepared.
Its going to remain frameless.. I was never a big fan of framed tanks.

Awesome! I wasnt sure if the semi aggressives would work out in there. And the fact that I can add plants makes it even better!
The size of the tank I believe is 72 x 18 x 28

Awesome :22:
Yep plants such as Crinum, Moss, Anubias, Fern and Melon swords should all work out, supplementing the severum's diet with veggies will also help curb its tendancy to pick at your plants.

Nice find. It is nice when the LFS will help out especially a tank mod for free. Sounds like an all in one store. You could have a custom tank built, set it up and stock it all from the same place. How convenient is that?

That's great to hear, that's a nice lookin tank. Always great to have a nice LFS, and one that builds custom tanks, that's super sweet.
