I have read mixed information on cherry barbs. Would it be okay to have 6 of them in a 10 gallon? Along with some ghost shrimp and/or a mystery snail?

They should do fine in the tank with the ghost shimp.

Thank you! Once the tank is cycled, would I add 3 at a time? Or all 6 at once? I thought because they are schooling fish that if I only added 3, the other 3 added later wouldn't school with them.

I would add three, wait a week or so depending on what you parameters read in that time. Then add three or four more. Because they are schooling fish they will school together no matter when they are added to the tank. Good luck.

Thanks so much! I'm so excited and can't wait for this tank to be ready :)

I do not see a problem with it. They should do well.

I can understand your confusion. Petsmart labels cherry barbs as "semi-aggressive". LMAO! Too funny.

Yeah I was told they can be aggresive too but mine are docile.

LOL! I think they got them mixed up with tigers. I think when ever they see the word "barb" they assume it's semi-aggressive.

Yes, you should be able to have 6 cherry's in a 10 w/ some shrimp.
