I have a male and female convict that are appox. 8 months old and they had fry one time like almost 4 months ago and they have not bred since. Did i get lucky or what. hahahaha. I tried everything to get them to spawn again but then realized it isnt worth the stress of trying to get rid of them. Ha it is really funny i am probably the only person with a pair of convicts that bred and will nto breed again. hahaha.thumbs2: I am just wondering why they stopped.

dont question a good thing.

they may be uncomfortable. or just reached the point in the relationship where mating becomes more of a chore. or maybe she has a headache.

Wait no, thats people. I dunno then.

They're taking a break in their relationship. I've seen it before. They'll get back together, somewhere, somehow. When there is love, there is a way! Lol but truthfully it's probably just one of the factors is off. Check all the things that cons would usually breed in and if one of them is off, fix it and the mood will be set again! lol

The only thing is it is the exact water cconditions they bred in before. Ha. I hope they dont breed again. I am actually looking to get rid of them.

Try to see if your lfs will take them, or try CL or something like that. lol you're in luck since cons breed like a wildfire spreads.

I know the sad thing is that i worked so hard for them to become a pair and now i am so happy they wont breed. hahahaha. My brother's friend has a 150gallon SA cichlid tank.

What's he have in it? He might be willing to take the cons.

hahahaha he took my baby cons for food for his fish i think some salvini and stuff. Ha. So I will just give them to take. They are nice fish and but they are a once in a life time thing kind of ugly yet.

lol Understandable. Just don't get too attached to them as they will most likely end up as food for the salvini.

Ya know the only times I've evry kept them was for breeding feeders. They are cool fish but definately have a down side.
