After having our assassins for several months they are now laying eggsthumbs2: I've noticed 2 clutches on the glass so far. I hope most of them survive so they can start to win the battle on our trumpet snail infestation.

Very cool. I love the assain snails, but I also like the MTS. Good luck, may your snails breed like, well, snails! About how much did you pay for your assains? Around here they are 2.99 each.

The arizona invert link is a great one, probably one of the better articles out there on assassin snails. I bought 6 originally several months ago, and now I've got a bunch of little ones. They will put a hurting on the trumpet snails, but it'll take a long while. At the moment they keep the pest snail population in check.

Yeah my sand is literally crawling with MTS, lol. The only good thing is they eat any excess food in a hurry-:hmm3grin2orange:. I am staring to notice a good amount of empty mts shells so I'm hoping the Assassins are eating them faster then the mts reproduce

I think I made a mistake, After reading the article I don't think they are Assassin eggs because it says that assassin eggs are 1 per clutch. This looks like 15 or more really small eggs in a bunch on the glass. Could it be cory eggs?

Sound like pond snail eggs to me. Does it look almost like a smear on the glass.

Yep it's like that in my tank too. For a while I had more assassin snails than mts, so to keep the assassins reproducing I needed more mts. So I actually took an empty 10g, and put just mts in it, with some plant trimmings. Hoping to sell a dozen or two assassins each month at the local club, along with the shrimp. I'd love to get the other color morphs of assassin snails, the ones I have at the moment are yellow and black.

The ones we have are yellow and black. If we get a large number going we may set up a tank for them so we can sell them too:hmm3grin2orange:

Get a container of some sort and put the eggs into it, and toss an air stone in there, then float the container in one of you tanks. In a few days you'll know if its fry or snails:p
