Hello from Texas

I know y'all were expecting me to say howdy, right? LOL I'll just say hello. I have two tanks (2.5 gal. and 5 gal.) right now and I'm fixn' to, sorry, about to buy a 10 gallon. I had an aquarium when I was a kid and now I have one, I mean 2, for my kid. Who am I kidding? The fish are for me! But my son gets to name them. That's how my betta got the name Skarloey. (That's one of the Thomas the Tank Engine characters.) Skarloey is lounging around on his own in the 2.5 gallon tank.

In the 5 gallon I have too many fish with 3 white clouds (Fred, Daphne and Velma) and 2 male fancy guppies (Shaggy and Scooby). That's why I'm buying the 10 gallon. :19: So they can have more room to swim. I've promised my dh that I'll decommission the 2.5 gal. and move everyone up one size tank but I'm secretly hoping to have 3 tanks. I can see how aquariums can be addictive.

So anyway, I found this forum and have really been enjoying reading and learning more about fish keeping. Howdy from Texas!

If you are going to live in TX, Austin is definitely the place to be.

If you ever want help with a project, have some extra supplies you want to get rid of, or just compare aquariums let me know!

I am getting a 75 Gallon tank today! I am so excited, but I still have no idea how I am going to set it up, what kind of fish I want, or even what all is included!

Oh yeah, I've got tank fever! I just got the 10 gallon and set it up today. Its so cool to have so much more real estate for my fishies. My son picked out the decorations and its a sunken treasure/pirate ship theme. It looks nice! Now I'm just waiting for it to cycle before I put my little gang in there.
