I have never personally done this, but I have a friend who regularly breeds dwarf albino bristlenoses. I believe the primary diet he feeds them is blanched broccoli stems cut maybe half an inch thick.

I would love to breed my plecos, but its hard to determine male & female, and what gets them going.

Even if you were able to breed them, what would you do with the fry?

How many fry did you have and how many were you able to sell? What size tank you raise them in?

i've got 2 clowns and i couldn't tell you if they were male or female. the only thing i can say is, one is darker than the other. i'd like to see them breed sometime, but who knows.

A good archive of forum posts about pleco breeding. I would try it but have neither the time or the patience.
