It depends on your goals and willingness to adapt your maintenance routine. Folks that want to grow out their juvenille discus faster will keep the tank at 86F and feed 5-6 times a day with daily water changes to clean any waste that could fowl the water; especially, beef heart.

I have juvenilles and have my temp at 86F, but feed three times a day and space them out 6-8 apart because there are studies that show this rate of feeding is effective and there are no studies saying that 5-6 times will be more effective. All in my own research on this topic.

Adults only need to be feed twice a day and temps are usually kept at 84-86F.

I change at least 50% of my water in all my tanks every other day. This has proven sufficient for growth and maintain good health. But every tank is different!

Depending on size, juvie discus need to be fed multible times a day. Any where from 3-6 times. The older they get the less they need to be fed.

This question can't be answered for Discus in general.

Juviniles need to be fed a lot, 5+ times per day with a lot of clean water is a fairly standard view.

Adults are fine with one or a few times per day. However, healthy adults would gladly eat 5 - 6 times a day or more. I think mine would eat every 30 minutes if I would feed them that often. 2 times per day for adults is fine in my experience. 2 times per day with juviniles will often end up with stunted fish.
