I first read about the onion plant on YOUR threads...so I had to go find one...

...and I did! Looks like a nice healthy specimen...but expensive! $11.98!

But if I bought 3 plants, the price dropped to $10.78 each...well gee! Couldn't let the opportunity to 'save' money pass me by, could I now?

...so I picked up an Elodea and some unspecified small Sword...

So that onion plant cost me...indirectly...almost $36! (with taxes)!!! :hmm3grin2orange:

...lol...

...originally I wanted the 75g tank to be a planted tank...but by the time I started researching the C02 tanks, I was getting scared...

...and now Hobbs' slime horror stories of flourite have cinched it...

I'm terrified of official planted tanks!

I'll just stick with my aquatic planters, thank you very much...:ezpi_wink1:

See, what you DON'T hear about is all the people that run a planted tank just fine ;)

And I believe we got to the bottom of Hobb's slimy tank issue - it was the CO2 solution getting into the tank, which is easy to remedy. You know you want one of those sweet tanks like in the ADA contest ;)

...well yes...a sophisticated, award-winning, planted tank was Plan A...

...Oscars were Plan B...

...Lk. Malawi cichlids were Plan C...

...now I'm on Plan D...Black Ghost Knifefish in potted plant tank with unspecified tankmates...:18:

Ridiculous for onion plants, I must say. Make sure part of the bulb is showing when planted or they will rot. I have one of mine that already is level with the waters surface after 3 weeks.......and all my problems. Those are doing better than anything I bought.

Knowing WallyWorld, it's probably soup onions.
