That tank looks amazing! Great job!
Do you have plans to do anything else to it?
Too small for my hands!lol

nope, thats it. stocked it with a couple of green neons, had it running for a little while, then gave it to a friend

heres when i pulled it out of the shed.

i was going to use iti, then i realized the major flaw with this tank. (aside from the size of course)
no filtration.
it used to have a small UGF, but i tossed thast as soon as i got it. and because of the size, its too small to run even a small box or sponge filter.
so it was time to improvize

i drilled it out and installed bulkhead fittings.
then threw together a quick wet/dry to test the seal on the blkheads

put on a 20gph fountain pump, and it seemed to be running.

my initial idea was to build a 20g+ sump for this 1g tank. the sump was goping to sit behind one of my couches, but i couldnt find the right shaped container for my project so i ended up making a 5g bucket wet/dry filter

i threw in some natural gravel then went to the local aquascaping store for some goodies

after trading out the pump for a much bigger (in comparison) pump, and building my 5g wet/dry. i ran the plumbing and did another wet test

(the bucket is tucked behind one of the couches. i pulled the counh out so you could see the plumbing. once the couch is pushed back, you cant see the filter or plumbing at all)

that was the whole idea with this project. lol and it didnt stress the fish at all.

the filter itself was 5x the size of the display, and at 3' pump head, the return pump was pushing 60x turnover (1x/min)
hahahah.
i overfilter all of my tanks, but this one was just plain ridiculous.

i already broke the tank down and gave it away to a friend.

i changed the return pump to 20gph @ 3' head so its not as crazy in there. and i showed her how to change the mechanical filter in the wet/dry.
so far she seems happy with it, but im going to give her one of my 5 or 10g tanks i have lying around so she has more space for fish.

right now im just working on building a small enough PVC overflow system for a 5/10g tank that will still work with the same wet dry.
