ok so I got the tank filled and filter running....
what do I do from here to get the water ready for fish ???
meaning what chems do I need to add and whats the best test kit to make sure all is in check ?

well if you put city water in the tank you need to get a dechlorinator and add as the directions tell you. If you used well water then your good on chlorine. You need to get an API master test kit for $20 to $30. You need to cycle the tank before you add any fish. There is an E-book on the left that gives good details. Decide whether your going to go the easy fishless way or the fish in way. If you know someone with an aquarium that's been set up a while and has healthy fish then take your filter media insert and rub theirs against it to transfer some media is the fastest way to get it started in my opinion.

Read up on a fishless cycle.
Its the best way to go.
You will need the test kit mentioned.You will also need a bottle of soap free ammonia.Usually found with laundry detergents.

I'll update my status tonight but I got the heater going and air pump running as well I changed out the charcoal, biomax and foam in my canister and have it all running smooth.....
