Well My dwarf gourami and one black neon was dead this morning. I got to looking at the other neons really close and they have what appears to be ich. Little white dots all over thier bodies. I heard raising the temp and adding salt works well but not with scaleles fish and i have 2 khuli loaches.
Here is my stock list...
4 black neon tetras
2 fiddler crabs (ya I know not the right setup. I am working on it.)
5 mixed corys (just added them yesterday so no signs on them)
2 khuli loaches (havent seen them so I am not sure if they have it or not.)
HELP!!!!

Actually the salt treatment at a half dose used to be the most popular way to treat sensitive fish. Nowadays though a lot of the meds are okay for sensitive fish. I use Rid Ich+ Ive used it on corys, but not loaches. Both are sensitive fish
Either method should be fine as long as you treat for 5-7 days after the last signs of ich, and do not raise the temperature if you decided to use medicine instead of salt.

Ick Guard 11 is for sensitive fish also. I doubt your neons will live. Sounds as they've already had the ick several days.

Well that sucks. So I should use meds instead of salt and temp?

Either method will work. You need to decide what is best for you. I have used rid ich in QT a few times. It was pretty successful.

With any meds u will need to remove the carbon or it will remove the meds.
Are you just running carbon? If so you can empty the carbon and put the pouch back to preserve your bacteria
