I am going to be making changes to my tank (moving three of my plants into pots). I know I am going to stir up a lot of junk and basically cause a major disturbance in the tank.
Should I leave the fish in the tank during the work, or should I net them and put them in a container until everything clears up?
Thanks
I've always left my fish in tank when I redecorated...
I aways make sure my filter is running efficiently...it usually clears the tank of the debris quickly afterwards...

Me too - most of them go crazy eating the junk that gets stirred up!

Yes I agree, leave them in there, just be slow moving as not to stress them to much, if you have good filtration, the tank will soon settle and clear back up.

I leave them in, the junk in the tank can't be bad for them.
In a real pond/lake the water is very murky anyway and the fish do fine in them.

you can leave them. When my 20g got redecorated, the tetras were having a confetti party with all the waste flying
