Hello,
My current workplace recently purchased a display aquarium and we have set up the tank for about 6 months now.
After all the watr\er plants, snails also joined the tank from all the plants we introduced in.
Problem is that my big boss hates snails...and the snails are all over the tank.
Can anyone suggest any remedy to remove or to keep the snails at bay?
Thanks!

Depending on tank size, either clown loach (about 30cm) or yoyo/pakistani loach (about 10cm). Only prob with these is they can tend to uproot plants.

yea a couple of yoyo loaches will abosolutely obliterate those snails in an amazing amount of time. try them they're not expensive and fun to watch as they are active swimmers.
I agree with adding a fish that eats them. You can also vacuum a lot of them out to control the population and be careful not to overfeed, thereby robbing the snails of extra food.

With so many options in such a short time, try to go with one of these natural remedies, with a bit of research, no matter what the problem, 9 out of 10 times, there will be a natural cure.

Meds to kill snails are bad. If you have a decent size infestation, you'll get a massive ammonia spike from the decaying snails. If it's a small tank, you can get them all out, but you probably won't be able to find all of them in a large tank. Plus, a lot of the meds use copper sulfate, which is bad for the fish too.

Some of those chemicals to rid a tank of snails can be harmful to plants! Read all labels if you decide to go that route!
If you can't add a loach or don't want too, you could always try trapping them. Get yourself a small clean glass jar and place some pellets in the jar. Just before you turn the lights out for the night, place the jar on it's side on the gravel. If the mouth of the jar is big enough for fish to get into, block part of it with gravel or some large rocks, just leave enough room for snails to enter. The snails will go into the jar during the night and in the morning you just remove the jar and dispose of the snails. Repeat as necessary. This will not eliminate them but it will keep their numbers in check!

ah just get a yoyo loach or two and that's all the work you have to do. none of this trapping, poisoning or putting your hand in the tank. they do the rest.
