Hi all, new to the forums. I recently stocked my first cycled tank with a blue dwarf gourami and 8 ember tetra. All the levels are perfect, water's clear, etc. After I got my dwarf gourami, upon closer inspection I noticed that his jaw is sorta screwed-up... think Jimmy from South Park. I've since named him Butch.
So, a couple days after getting him and noticing his jaw issue, I saw a scale where his jaw-bone connects to his neck sorta sticking out; it reflects light more than the rest of him when he swims around. I figured it was just due to his abnormal jaw structure. Now, a week or two later, there's a little tiny hard-looking white mass growing under the scale. It's no more than a mm or so in width/length, but seems to be slowly growing. There's nothing else wrong with him... he eats, swims all over the place, is vividly colorful, and seems otherwise healthy. The growth almost seems like a little wart, or tumor? Ideas?
Here's a photo of his face. The left-side of his jaw (right-side from your perspective) is pushed-out a bit, and his left-eye is sorta sunken looking because of the bulge.
