Just wanted to say hello

Hello my name is Rose and just wanted to introduce myself. Not really new to the hobby I have three tanks from 45 gallons up to a 75 gallon and this week end I'll be switching out to a 125 gallon tank for my catfish. Just was wondering if anyone had any sugestions on any new decorations for a catfish tank. I have a redtail, shovel noseXredtail cross and a pleco going into the 125. I have the standard large pieces of drift wood but I would like to add a couple of other things.

welcome. have you considered putting plants in the new tank? some rock formations could nice looking too.

When you do a catfish tank, you have to realize, that they are big, strong, and clumsy sometimes. You will need to use anchored extra heavy decorations, or none at all, as the will knock them over or dig them up.

And get nothing they can get stuck in! I have two super great decorations and can't use either of them because fish just love to get stuck in them. Both decorations are put away for fish that don't need to go hide.

I'd put alot of plants in the tank to make hiding places. Plus it makes the tank look more natural!

Y'all have been very friendly here and I thank you for your input. I'll try to get pictures as soon as I can get my babies to settle long enough to get their pictures taken!!! I've decided to go with a couple of natural rock formations and some fake plants for right now until I can do some more research into what kind of plant are native for them. Oh just wanted to share the great news....I am now the proud mom of a flame pleco that my local pet store sold to me as a common pleco. lol Y'll have a good evening!
