Looking for an ID on my two cories

I got these two cuties a few weeks ago. The LFS told me they were both Corydoras Elegans, but I don't know, they look different.

What do you guys think? One of them has too much of a speckled appearance to be Elegans methinks.

The first pic may be a sterbai cory and the other is a bronze cory.
At least they appear to be.

Ooh that's a good resource. I thought you had to be paid up with that website to see those pictures. I think the Sterbai is too spotted to be my cory.

Now those two look just like my two, even down to them having two different markings! That is odd. The 12 pics of Elegans on that website I have to say look like my two. It's strange that they can have such variability in their markings yet be the same species, and yet there are different species of cories that look much closer. They're such a cool genus of fish, so many different kinds and they haven't named them all yet!

I don't know what type they are but they look like neither sterbai or a bronze. Sterbai have yellow pectoral fins and are more speckled. The body shape also looks wrong to me for both those kinds. They also don't look like elegans either, to me.

Colors/markings look similar, and look at the eye. It is very distinst in your pics and matches with this one too.

Thanks for posting that. Although my photos are clear, I can tell from observations of my fish moreso than the photos that they more closely resemble the Elegans on planet catfish, and strangely enough they seem to correspond to the 2 different patterns. It seems the female is plain and male has the speckled color. How odd.
