Hey all,
I just recently purchased a nice Flame Gourami from my lfs and she seems to be doing fine on the typical TetraMin tropical flakes. I'm going to be switching the flakes up with some freeze dried blood worms occasionally but, my question is really in regards to feeding her vegetables.
The AC article on the Flame Gourami suggests feeding them blanched vegetables. I'm wondering what my fellow Gourami caretakers have fed their fish. Will blanched spinach work?:22:

Thanks

I feed zucchini, squash, and spinach primarily. TetraMin is an ok quality fish food but there are much better brands of flake and pellets out there.

Thanks for your reply, Lab Rat. In regards to the better quality flake foods you mentioned, are there any in particular you'd recommend?

I really like the Hikari products. I feed pellets primarily (Hikari has a nice micropellet for small fish) as they are less likely to cause constipation than the flakes. New Life Spectrum (NLS) also has very high quality foods, as does Omega One. I recommend all three of those brands.

Alright, great! Thanks for all the recommendations. I'll be keeping an eye out for those brands the next next I'm at my lfs.
