Hi! Just posting a pic of him 'cuz I'm so excited to add him to my peacock tank!
I know some folks don't approve of hydrids, but so long as the original species are preserved, I'm ok with it, especially if it gets me stunning (imo, anyway) colour like this in my tank.
I didn't get a pic of him with his fins up, he's too new to be strutting his stuff just yet...
One thing I am curious about, however - how much would you guys consider to be "average" for a price on this fellow? He's perhaps a touch over 4".

He is gorgeous!!!
Personally, I have no problem with hybrids at all and love some of them. Yours is definitely a fish to be proud to own!
Regarding pricing, I wouldn't have any idea.

Thats a stunner!
I have no idea what they go for.I never see them up here.I do hear different prices due to the members living all over the world.
You may be lucky you don't live in Australia.Fish get real pricey there.

I guess I've just "graduated" into true cichlidom. As I was feeling my way into cichlids, I was staying towards the cheaper fish - usually between $7-$20. And I'll admit that I've bought a couple fish from the "assorted african" tank at 99 cents each.
So when this one was priced at $35, I thought it was a bit dear - not so dear that I didn't buy it anyway, obviously :)
so I just wondered what others were paying...

Nice looking OB. As far as average price for one that size, it's going to very much depend on the LFS. I'd say anywhere from $15-$30 depending on the LFS in my area.

Beautiful fish. Thanks for sharing.

My LFS sells the 4-6 inchers for $40. Theyre usually much cheaper online.
