They will eat any leftover food that makes it to the bottom, they will sometimes swim at the surface upside down and grab food that way too! They will also nibble on stray bits of algae within the tank. But you will need to get them some sinking algae wafers and give them a couple wafers (depending on how many shrimp you have) maybe once or twice a week.
Are your angels large? There is a very good chance that the shrimp won't last long if they are.....

You sholdn't have much of a problem feeding them. Mine just eats the left over flakes,

mine often eat all the left overs, and the pellets and algea wafers for the other fish, and some natural algea when it grows, and anything else it can get at.

Mine don't even wait for the flakes to hit the bottom, they go right up to the top and eat with the fish!

I hope not cause I really want to keep the shrimp....
and I have good news... I have a pregnant platty!!! at least I think I do I gave her some peas and shes still fat.... REALLY FAT and between the fins on the bottom there is a big blackk spot its been I think 3 4 days and the male is always following her EVERYWHERE never leaves her...
ok back on the shrimp.... I will probably get them tomorrow cause today when I came from work the petshop was closed already and I might not work tomorrow so instead of MAKE money I will probably spend another 20 30$ on my pets hahaha as usual when I go to the petshop........

The spots are probobly their innards. They carry the eggs under their tail, which they keep curled up to protect them.

We have three ghost shrimp in the community tank in my moms room. There are 4 guppies, and 2 corys in it along with the 3 shrimp. About 3 times a week, she says, "i cant find the shrimp, i think theve been eaten!". So i go and take a look and find all three of them in seconds. You have to have a trained eye, but you will be able to finde them in no time soon!

It is important to give the shrimp a place that only they can get into! When they molt they are very vulnerable until their shell hardens.....
I've never seen a ghost shrimp over 1.5" so I think I'd fall over if I saw a 3 incher!!! :wink2:

i do my best to dodge them. I often suck up a few accidentally with the python. But, for my shrimp tanks, i often sued the bucket way so that i can net them back in
