Castle Post is located in Versailles, Ky.

Mr. Post opened his home to the public (for 3 days) in order to raise monies for the Salvation Army. The tour was a perfect opportunity to see the Castle and the grounds without paying the expense of lodging.

The Castle also serves as a Bed and Breakfast for those wishing to experience upscale and unique lodging.

It was meant to be a castle when the guy built it, or had it built as a romantic gesture for his wife. Then they got divorced before it was completed. It sat half finished for years and years. Some guy finally bought it but then it caught fire and most of it burned down. They have changed a bunch of stuff around when they rebuilt it to make it more modern then the one half built in the 60's. People have tried to have it taken down many times while it was vacant and half built, said it was an eye sore, etc... Now people make jokes about it saying its a wanna be castle. I think it is beautiful, and would love to live in a place that looked like that!

At least he has room for fish tanks.

Wonder if he heats that place with propane? :)

I think it's great!! I've drove by numerous times and would have loved taking the tour.
It's in a perfect location too, atop a grassy knoll
