Here are some pics of my new gar! I would have gotten one with way more markings, but the guy dropped him and he fell behind the tank and got pretty beat up. Its a shame, he was a very nice fish. Hopefully he gets better!

I am assuming its a Florida gar, just like my other one. He is just lacking a bit in markings. As far as length, I think he's about 6 inches long.

What size tank will you be keeping him in?

He will be kept in my 135 gallon

He will outgrow the tank is the long run, hope you have something for him and the other one.

Yes i plan on at least a 240 or a 300 gallon in the future.

Very nice! He'll darken up considerably...just give him time to destress and settle in. As far as the 135gal...that will actually hold him for a good number of years (at least 2-3). My largest Florida is around 18" and close to 6 years old. You will ideally want something about 2' wide. I have only ever seen one captive raise FL Gar that exceeded 20"...they aren't quite the monsters that most people think they are.
