Looking for someone who has raised Calvus and/or Comps before.

I have a 30gal with a number of young calvus/comps in it.
I bout the fish from my LFS when they were about 1/2" or a spec more in size
2 black calvus
1 white calvus
gold comp
gold head comp

Also in the tank is a gold nugget pleco/featherfin cat/Red Dorsal Caudopunctatus/Synodontis petricol

They have a very rocky and plant setup, Lot's of hiding places.

Now that they are 1-1.5 inches, I am seeing significant aggression/pecking establishment. The alpha's in the tank are the Red Dorsal and the Gold Head
No damage to any fish.

For young-ens, is this normal behavior?

My adults are very easy going and nothing like these guys.

:22:

Now that they are

They are nice fish but will need a larger tank very soon. A 30 gallon doesn't offer that much in hiding places and spaces for spawns.

These will be part of the 100g tank I am setting up! thumbs2:

Will be leaving the nursery setup permanently in hopes.....

i have had my gold heads breed and i removed the shell with the fry from the 220 they were in and tried to raise them in a 20 gal. with no success. I tried many times and failed every time. the longest i had 1 live was about 3 weeks. I have been told you have to keep the water perfect to raise them, everyday waterchanges. then there is the problem of them not wanting to eat. Too much trouble for me.
