With two plecos that will reach almost 18" each, yes, your tank is horribly overstocked at fish adult size.

but at the moment 1 is 5" and the other 3".....I dont think i can keep them until theyre adults.

30G:2 salfin plecs,3 lemon tetra,3 glowlight tetra,5 neon tetra,4 platty
I'd increase the numbers of all tetras to 6 of each species, get rid of the plecos, and call it stocked. Is this a true 30g or is it 29g?

[Only Registered Users Can See Links.]. MFR always finds a good home for fish. :22: I will see if I can get the member who works on MFR here to look at this thread.

Without the plecs your stock is fine. The sailfins get real big but it takes awhile.Mine is 3-4 yrs old and about 10".The best bet is to get rid of them now before you get too attached, its easier to find a home for them when they arent over 6".

Yeah, everyone is right. The only thing I'd add is that if you like plecos, there are a different type called bristlenose plecos that will stay small enough to be in your tank permanently. I'm going to echo the guy that said get your tetra schools up to 6 (or even as many as 8), but I'd also sub out the plecos for a bristlenose.
