I am thinking of getting a new tank soon.

I though I might enjoy to keep a reef tank of sorts.
Then it struck me - Piranhas

Does anyone have any experience with them?
recommendations of sorts or maybe stories?

I'd go for the reef tank honestly. Piranhas are cool, I enjoyed mine, but you'll get a lot more out of a reef tank in the end.

Yeah.. they are ok, but the novelty soon wears thin. Reef tank for the win.

I enjoyed my RB Pirahnas years ago.
I would like to get a black pirahna one day.They do get bigger than red bellies.

They really actually are pretty cool fish. I just think that a reef will be a much more rewarding experience in the end, whereas piranhas will be piranhas from day one till the end of their lives.

reef. pirhanas get big and need a large tank, while a reef tank would be prettier and alot more rewarding.

I think pirahna tanks are cool!They are interesting fish.
The black ones get big.
