Went to take out my trash at my apartment and noticed someone put a pretty big tank next to the trash dumpster. I can tell it's bigger than my 30 gallon so I had to have it. It's really heavy I couldn't carry it but managed to pull my truck up next to it and get it in. Now I just have to test it for any leaks. From the looks of it I dont see any cracks. I'll measure it soon and give you the dimensions so we can figure out what size tank it is.

Good luck! (Looks like you'll need a bit! That, plus a LOT of elbow grease!)

Wow and I thought the 30 gallon a friend gave me was dirty :ssuprised:

Great find :ssmile:

Fill it with vinegar and let it sit for a week and it will spray clean.

Does the tank have a SLATE bottom? That would explain the weight.

MAN!! NOBODY around me tosses good stuff like that...NOBODY. Dang!

just from the pics i'd say your looking somewhere around 40 gallons or so. great find. now all you need is time and effort to put into cleaning.

I'm with you dragonwoman i never find anything like that around me. i once found a 55 gallon on craigslist for 50 bucks said it came with filter and hood. i asked for pics and it was cracked the whole way across the front and back. darn....
