Awesome deal! There are so many possibilities with a 29g. Why not post what types of fish you like and we can help you work on a good stocking plan for it. thumbs2:

I think it's easier to tell you the type of fish I don't like. Goldfish. My question was more of a... Many people use these all in one units to create a biotope type environment. I was looking for ideas more along those lines. And yes it the greatest deal I have ever got. I was jumping for joy when I bought a 180g for $200 with stand. Then I purchased 2 fluval fx5s for $230 each. This one totally beats that. The advertisement said 50 gallon $25. So I responded, "can I get the measurements because this sounds too good to be true!" she responded it is too good to be true and how she thought it was a 50 gallon buy it was really a 30-35. I wanted pictures and she was slow getting them to me so I just arranged to pick it up without seeing it. Well after the 45 minute drive I get to this gated community and call her and said "ummm I'm at a gate an can't get in?" she told me just go to the guard and give him her address and he would call her to buzz me in. So I pull up to this small home or very huge guard shack and he buzzed me in. She invited me in to pick up the tank. So expecting to see a very neglected $25 homemade 2x4 stand and 30-35g tank, you can imagine how surprised I was to see a brand new looking 29g eclipse system. Long story short, someones trash someone elses treasure. So anyone have any really cool biotope ideas?

Woot, nice find. Anytime you can get a tank for under a dollar a gallon it's a steal. thumbs2:
What about an Amazon biotope? A school of cardinal tetras, a school of cories to give the bottom movement, and then maybe a pair of captive raised rams? Might be wrong on where the rams come from, and you'd have to have the cardinals and cories in for six months before adding the rams, but in my opinion it'd be a nice tank.

I LOVE my Amazon biotope! See my sig for stocking.
If you want gorgeous, healthy GBR's, contact Algenco. I got mine from him and they are BEAUTIFUL!! Very reasonable price too (WAY better than my lfs)!

I'd get like 40 neon tetras but the final decision is up to you.
I think it's easier to tell you the type of fish I don't like. Goldfish...
*gasp* I'm shocked! They're my all-time favourites!
Good deal though! Congrats! Do we get a before and after photo?

Are you interested in doing a planted tank? If you are then an amazon biotope, with rummynose or cardinals, cories, and centerpiece rams or apistos would be cool. You could also do a neat small shell dweller tank. Just keep in mind the eclipse filtration is pretty crappy so you'll want to go easy on stocking. Congrats on the new tank!

Really about the filter? From the setups at the local fish store, just going off visual water quality, I always thoughts they were good. Yet, I never took the time to look into them because I always figured for that price I could get a magnum 350 or something.
Yes I'm going to have it planted. I already put in my flourite and mixed it with the gravel from an established 10g of mine. Amazon biotype sounds nice. On my way to lfs for ideas.
