wow...gorgeous fish. Could you tell me what kind the second one is? It looks like a ram but I haven't seen those colors before.

The second fish is a long finned german ram. None of the fish have names.

Are long finned German rams different in color? The GBR I have seen at the LFS seem a bit plain, do they develop these colors as they get older?

These are of good stock, but generally yes the fish will look much better as it adjusts and become comfortable in a tank. A good diet and warm water with plenty of cover in the tank and the rams will color up beautifully.

wlepse are you sure those are not bolivain rams at your store?
They may also be mislabeled or just not very colorful GBRs.lol

I have only seen them at one FS that seems pretty respectable so I doubt they mislabeled them. Though they were still fairly small so maybe the colors develop as they develop. Also do colors vary between sexes?
