So we have a new 50w heater from Aqueon that we had in the deluxe aquarium kit we got, the old one stayed on and kept the tank a hot 84*, we got it repalced and all the sudden the tanks been getting warmer bout 80* to where it was a constant 77-78*. I noticed the light comes on more frequently now but i am able to turn it off then set it to where i want.
Also may i let you know the temperature settings on the heater are like 5-8* less than what the actualy temp is. I have it set at 72* and the tank is about 79-80*. So im tryin to figure out why the heater comes on so much more and if room temperature at night and day really affect it.
*Side notes, the weather here has been really cold at night like low 30's and day is low 40's. Our place is about mid to low 70's inside so im tryin to think if the heat just knows its cold or what. Please leave comments.
