Well my Swordtails have been at it again! Of their last brood only three survived and are now big enough to just be other members of the community tank and not looked at as possible snacks. This brood was significantly bigger and definitely from Tux the all black male ST. Since the tank is so heavily planted they have a pretty good chance, unfortunately the female Bettas seem to like the taste of ST fry, heh. We used a turkey baster and got somewhere around 15 out and put in the RCS tank so they wouldn't be predated. In with the Red Cherry Shrimp they don't have to worry about getting ate plus there's Seed Shrimp in there that they can feed on! I've gotten a few pics but nothing too great yet, I'll post 'em when I get 'em!

Sounds great!
Grats on the fry!:22:
Congrats! My swords haven't had any babies yet, that I've noticed...but I have raised a couple of molly and platy fry in the tank...it's rather exciting to watch them grow up!
But I'm glad I've only had a few...otherwise I'd be really overstocked...:hmm3grin2orange:

Here's pics of 'em... they're not named yet so I guess it's random order time.

I have always seperated my new frys from tanks I had shrimp in. I was told that the shrimp would eat the babies, is this not true?

Not Red Cherry Shrimp. They're completely harmless unless you're a food pellet. :) Ghost Shrimp is another story. Those little monsters... heh.
The tank is 10G filtered by a sponge filter rated for 10G, an Azoo Palm HOB chock full of bio-beads, and an AC20 with more than 2X as much bio-media than 'normal'. Both HOBs use AC20 Sponge inserts as pre-filters. I think I've got safe over-filtering covered, heh. With the plants and the little specs that are either Seed Shrimp or Daphnia they've got plenty to eat and cover to feel safe. They'll stay in this tank until they start predating the baby RCS. I'm pretty confident that they'll pretty much all make it.
