getting rid of snails

I have such a snail problem, I want to re-start my tank. i plan on getting new substrate, soaking the rocks in boiling water. How should I clean out the filter to ensure no more snails will be in my "new" tank. What about cleaning the glass? Should I worry about eggs being trapped anywhere? thanks!

yoyo loaches are very good at snail extermination. how big is your tank? as they are social little guys. other than that.. i'm really not too sure.
