My gold barb is schooling with my rainbows

I put some barbs in my tank a few months back, I had three rosy and four golds. I got rid of all of them cept one gold because I was getting my discus. I tried catching him numerous times but recently he has been schooling with the neon rainbows to try and blend in I suppose. Whenever I move towards the tank he swims away with them as if he knows Im coming to catch him. I have since left him alone but I think its funny that he is schooling with the neons now and he looks so out of place.

He feels safer in a school so he is schooling with whatever fish he can find.

I have a zebra danio left from my school in my 75g that I relocated. I just can't catch him. Just like your case, when I come near the tank he joins the neon tetra school. It is comical, but sort of depressing. I wish I could explain that he could have his friends back if he'd just get in the net.
