In the last five years i Have gone through about 3 upgrades. I am about to start a new 50g and when that is set up, I am going to scrap my 130g. But sure, you can add me to the Saltwater Guru list :2:

BTW I don't keep freshies any more, but I did start keeping them from when I was 2 and stopped when I was 14. On my 14th bday my parent bought me a red asian arowana but later in the year I decided to focuss on marines so had to sell the lot. Shame though, that arowana was so cool

I just recently decided to do my part for the aquarium hobby. I am making a new site with a full photographic species directory on marine fish and inverts and freshwater fish and brackish fish. There will also be set up tips for many different kinds of set ups as well. I've been keeping fish for so long now that I think its time to give something back to the hobby.

thanks. its gonna take awhile because i have to balance its creation with school. However, the plan I chose gave me a free phpBB forum which the host is installing for free and should be up later today. My grandparents are getting back from overseas on the 1st of May and they are bringing back some website building software. Can't wait until the entrie site is totally finished:19:

Helfrichi Firefish

can't wait till it arrives. Just have to wait a few months until he can get one though

What a beauty! Why the long wait, are they rare?

pretty eh?

Well, the States takes up most of the market for this kind of fish. In the states they are fairly expensive but uncommon.

New Zealand, as it is such as small market (small I mean as 300 marine tanks across the country at most), is kind of a "dumping" ground for all the poor quality fish. This is because all of the exporters want to get the best to the states. Therefore, fish like the Helfrichi Firefish hardly come into the country. The importer said that in the last ten years since he started importing, he has seen one on exporters stocklists.

Same with Gem Tangs. He saw one on an overseas stock list. Ignored the $5000USD price tag and bought it for himself. It is the only one in the country and probably one of about 5 being kept in the entire Australasia. Most Gem tangs either go to the states or Germany.

You can now. The host finally got the forums up. Just have to wait for my grandparents to bring me back some web building and graphics software from their holiday so I can start getting into the guts of things.
