Hello,
I am in great dileema.
I am trying to have fish, but I talk to all experts dot com and they tell me I need no fish to cycle. Then they tell me I need ammonia but I cannot get that in canada.
Then they tell me bio speera but i no can get that neither.
I want to cycle with fish. I don't care if they die off, as long as I can cycle and have oscar later.
What do I do without cycle...
Where do I get waterr too?
I have no waterr too

No, you not understand.
Water for water changes.
I have water to fill tank, but when I need to change the water, where do I get the water with same chemistry?
PH...and thing like that.
Maybe I come to wrong spot.
Sorry. This is not spam.

Where are you getting the water in the first place? You should just use your tap water and then put some declourinator into the water. If you always use the same water you wont have to worry about having different ph and such.

Not necessarily. Sounds like a credible post to me
Ammonia is sold in Canada. Look for it at a department store or a hardware store. Make sure it contains no surfacants (shake the bottle and see if it makes a lot of bubbles that don't pop)
Don't worry about water for water changes. As long as it is the same temperature, your fish will be fine. You do need to add a tap water conditioner such a Seachem Prime though. And make sure you acclimate your fish slowly. 30 minutes of floating the bag, then pour 1 cup of water into the bag every 10 minutes for 30-60 minutes.

I was just scare because the sink water is low PH, like 6.0.
Tank is big tank and when i take water out and change it, the ph go from 7.6 to 7.0 till i add ph proper.
I will try it this way with no adding of chemical.
Tank you all..

Hi Jeeva. You have to get ammonia somewhere other then your LFS. Most grocery stores sell it. Just make sure it is pure. Please don't take offense to the misunderstanding.
Sorry I have been away from the other site, I have been out of town.
