I finally got my new tank cycled about two weeks ago, but did not put any fish in as I was going out of town. I did get three horned nerite snails and three amano shrimp for algae control before leaving town.
Yesterday on my return I experimentally put in a couple pieces of a Thai pumpkin to see if they would eat it. About 20 minutes later I took the picture below. You think they like it?
