Mike, i am just now getting into cory cats, i actually picked up a green corry yesterday and put him in the 220. First i tried the 56 gal. with the shell dwellers but they did not approve and started picking at him.So now he is good with the fronts, do they prefer groups, im thinking yes since you have so many? Is that the polka dot variety?

Cory's do best in groups mate, 6 is a good number to start with,
If you are keeping them in the 220g I would get a bigger group.
You don't have aggressive cichlids in the 220g do you?
reason I ask is because I had to remove a cory from the throat
of my female Jag once. lucky both survived.
yes hybrid guy, they should be of groups of 6+. And in the front tank they will get eaten.
great photo mike, love the cories!

well in a typical front tank yhey might get eaten but my fronts want mess with them, they have never had live food and i often put 3/4" fry in and they dont eat them. I put the cory in yesterday and not one fish even looked his way.

I kept Corys with the first Frontosa colony I had and there was never
an issue, I wouldn't chance them with a Cichlid that had an aggressive
temperament though.
Thanks for the comment Rich!
