Has anybody seen those adoptable fish at petcos? What your opinion on them? Do you get them?

The Petco by my house is really fish friendly. I have left a fish there before for adoption.

That is a cool idea. Haven't seen anything like that around where I live!

So I am guessing fish owners can drop off their unwanted fish and the store sells them and takes a commission on them.
What percent does the seller get?
If thats what it is.I have never been to a Petco!
They don't mention fish!

They just took my unwanted fish. I didn't make any money from the deal.

it is not a fish consignment store :P
But the ones near me will take unwanted fish and sell them, as long as they aren't too big to fit in the tiny petco tanks. The adoption is probably something certain stores will do. Depends on the management I imagine.
