Will shrimp eat snail eggs?

I'm waiting for my Cherry Shrimp to arrive, and I noticed a couple small pond snails in the tank the shrimp are going into. I was wondering if they would do some "population control" on the snails.

If not, so be it.

I really, really doubt it. They may eat eggs that get attacked by fungus, but others, I really doubt it.

The snails will be fine. If you crush/squish the snails then the shrimp will of course scavenge. The snail/fish eggs though they should leave alone. May even clean them.

The person I bought the shrimp from says shrimp "do better" with snails. Whatever - he's sending a couple along with the shrimp.

Thanks for the info.
