Ok, so I got the new camera and I can take much nicer videos now as well as nice photos. So here's my first posting to YouTube. This is Sancho, my best buddy betta, beating the hell out of his Mystery Snail tank companion, Woosh.

Wish I could see it! Sadly, I'm on dial-up here at home...

Is it a good thing that your betta is terrorizing the snail?

No, it's not a good thing. I don't like it. He did stop and Woosh is back to cleaning the glass. I need something in there for clean up duty and big snails are the only thing that withstands his anger. It's either that or I put him back in a bowl. He's just so aggressive... he's even biting his own tail off now!

Sorry to hear about the aggression issues, but when you ignore the problem it's rather amusing to watch. Lovely tank, by the way.

if you want him to stop biting his tail, you could put an unpainted ping-pong ball in the tank as a toy

I actually think Pele has a good idea there. It's worth a shot, in any case.

If you try the ping pong ball let me know how it goes. I'm thinking about getting a snail for my betta tank and I'm afraid he might be a little too aggressive (I've found him many times going after chapstick and tea pots left next to his tank, neither of which I find too betta-like.) Never heard of it, but it does sound like a good idea. Do you keep the ping pong ball in the tank 24/7, or do oyu just drop it in every once in a while?

hmmm... that's a good idea. Now I gotta find a ball.

I'd put it in for an hour or two a day. Obviously make sure the ball is unpainted
