Finally got one

Since starting the hobby I've always wanted a sunset monti, but they've always been way to much money for a small piece. I finally picked one up last nick for $25 and it already has halfway encrusted the plug. I can't wait till it opens up this afternoon.

Here's a picture from the seller. Its the orange one in the center and this is an older pic so its encrusted more now. This is under a 10000K 250 watt hqi so once I get pics of it in my tank, the colors are going to look much brighter under my 14000K 250 watt HQI

The funny thing is this is the guy I bought our live rock from for our 1st marine tank over a year ago. I didn't know till I pulled up in front of his house

Thank you. Here's an above shot. Don't mind the glare from the halide reflector. It hasn't fully opened up yet. I think its still getting use to the new tank but I'll be sure to post another pic one it opens up. The tanks a little cloudy due to the new pistol shrimp digging around

congrats on the sunset monti! they are also one of my favorite monti, I also managed to snag one at the LFS a while ago for a great price since they mismarked and I only ended up paying $20 for it :hmm3grin2orange:

Thank you. Its now my fav coral in that take, next to the green birdsnest. Its already starting to grow so I hope it spreads quickly. I've started feeding this tank daily (instead of every 2 days) with kent zooplex and everything grows very fast.
