Think I am starting to get the hang of taking pics of my fish without either;
1 - blinding myself
2 - getting some aweful "background"
3 - blurred fish
Now if I can figure out how to make them "normal" size in the post....

Playing around with pics and this is a good shot of the left half of my 60 gallon.... think I need to "black out" the back side of this tank - would make the pics better and the fish stand out a bit I think..

Here is a not bad center shot of my 30 gallon nursery tank.
Can't see the Gold Spot Pleco or my Black Congo Calvus.
Shown is a White Calvus, Black Calvus, Gold Compressiceps, and Gold Face Compressiceps

Great pictures

I like the thumbnails in the thread, they are less obnoxious.
You can always click to see the bigger version.

Great tank by the way I am really liking the stacked rocks. :)

Thanks!

Had to play around with things till I ended up with the stacked look.

I found for fish that like to hide (like these guys) providing a kind of "cave" or overhang enticed them to be a bit more on display.

Great taste in fish!! Those are some beautiful calvus and comps. Just put up some black construction paper or even a garbage bag is cheap enuff to get a black background.

I did not see a white calvus anywhere though???

A couple more pics... these came out a little washed.

Have an Orange Comp in the same tank as my Inkfin - both wild caught.

The Orange has a strange habit of cruising the water with his forehead breaking the surface at feeding time till he see's a nice morsel. Then it's a quick dive and POW!, morsel is gone.....

Trying to think of descriptive moniker for him.

Here is the Orange - he is hard to get a pic of

Orange and Inkfin - the tanks Dynamic Duo.

Unfortunately, I think both want the role of Batman! thumbs2:

Sorry Crispy - my White slipped out of view.

Below is a pic of the White. It likes to hide when it sees movement outside the tank.

Enjoy!!
