Yesterday I moved the Dwarf's ten gallon downstairs, and as such didn't feel like having the one big container of fish food to lug all over the house.

Threw some food in a leftover garlic container (a bit more garlic can hardly harm them, afterall) and thinking nothing of it set it down by the tank for ease of reach later on.

Came back to the tank later on, and here was Bubbles the Dwarf flaring up and trying to fight off the orange container in his territory from the other side of the glass!

Tried it later once he had calmed down with an orange flower. Same thing.

So there's a new rule in the household; no orange by the fishtank.

It's a good rule!

You can put up a sign too..."Don't tease the fish"...

Pft. No problem of that. Everyone in my family thinks I'm nuts for having so many tanks. lol

:hmm3grin2orange: You get used to it!

I have a red algae sponge I use on my oscar tank. They go after it all the time.I even leave it on top of my glass lid sometimes,it gives them something to flare at.
I had a plan of using a fishing leader to hold the canopy doors from flopping down when I open it.The swivel end of the leader was in the water for a second as I fastened the other end.lol The oscars went after that so hard I got soaked! I was really impressed with how hard they hit it.
Oscars are high on my list of fish to catch on a rod if I ever get to the Amazon.thumbs2:

you can catch oscars in the everglades occasionaly. oscars would be a great fight on a rod and reel
