I have been trying to post an avatar I have in photobucket, with no success. It is of proper size, 100 X 75. This image has been used in other forums with ease. I even copied every code I possibly could, but every time I got an "invalid file" message. Is there something I am missing here?

Try adding to your "my pictures" file and up loading it from there.
Just click the Browse button.

I am unable to do that, because the size of the photo would be too large, and I can't resize it on my computer (I resized it on photobucket).

Twe3k, I can not resize it in paint. Whever I click to edit the photo, it sends me to paint and I looked everywhere in paint, but I can't resize it.

bushwhacker, the file was uploaded from my pictures, in full size, and I did recieve a message saying the upload was unsuccessful. Maybe it will happen later on?

I have windows xp on this puter.
I go to paint and click image.
Click on Stretch/Scew.
Resize to
40% Horizontal and 40% verticle.
It makes the pic the right size to post. You may have to go with a smaller percetage depending on the size of the pic.

Thank you Northernguy! I never thought stretch/scew would resize the photo, but it worked out great.

I appreciate all the help everyone, now I will start getting around to the rest of the forum.

Good advice. Thats how I've always done it for all my pics. Should work on any cpu with windows.
