About a week ago, I introduced diy co2 using a 2L soda bottle for my 29 gallon tank. I wasn't noticing an increase in the co2 levels and added a second 2L bottle. How long should it take, before I see an increase in the co2 levels?

Are you using a diffuser? Since CO2 can only enter the water through the perimeter of the bubble, more, smaller bubbles will give the total output of CO2 more surface area to enter the water through.

Give it 24 hours and see the effect on your PH. How are you diffusing the gas and what kind of filter do you have? Any surface agitation?

Using a Red Sea 200 Reactor as a diffuser. Both bottles are connected and running to the Reactor. I had the two bottles running into a 20oz bottle prior to the reactor, but I took that out of the equation as the Red Sea Reactor has the bubble counter built in. Felt it was redundant. I am getting small bubbles from the reactor. Most dissipate before reaching the surface.

Filter, is a Whisper Power Filter 60. I also have an air stone located in the opposite corner compared to the co2.

Keep you water level as high as you can and take out the airstone. That airstone is chopping up the surface and diffusing all your gas out of the tank.

The air stone is out of the tank. To reduce the co2 exposure to surface agitation, I should probably move the co2 to the opposite side of the tank in regards to the filter too. Shouldn't I?

It would not hurt. Keep your water levels high too.
