What most people in fish stores say is that anything will be ok in a bag for arround 3 hours but I find that is only real for very very hardy fish, invertebrates are a lot more fragile so I wouldn't sugest keeping him in the bag for more than one hour, When going to a LFS specially to get live stock always try to make it just before you go home, regarding the angel I couldn't really say It could go both ways really, it depends a lot on the fish.

It should be fine, the problem isn't oxygen in most cases, it's the poop buildup. Ghosts have barely any bioload and I wouldn't worry for it for 3 hours. wrap them up in a blanket or something to help conserve heat while they're sitting in your car though.

My apisto trifasciata were bagged in the normal LFS way and survived the 2 hour dinner, 1 hour packing my sisters crap up to her dorm and then the 3 hour drive home again. Didn't have any problems with them during the entire time, wrapped them in a blanket and stuffed them under one of the seats.

The shrimp may disppear in your tank.
The angel fish will get to them in time.
They are vulnerable to small angels when they molt. They are good anytime to the larger fish.
Make sure the shrimp have a lot of hiding places the angel cannot go.

As I found out today cover the intake on your filter. Shrimp are stupid and get caught in the suction.

You will enjoy the "cant' find 'em" aspect.

They will be fine. Ive had things in bags overnite without problems. Especially shrimp. If you cant find some of them you might want to chaeck in the angel's stomach. Lots of things eat them.

I've had the opposite experience. Shrimp are usually well suited to faster currents than most fish even, I've got them in a hilllstream tank and have never lost one to the current smashing them against rocks or into the intakes. Chances are they died before being sucked up

Angels will definitely eat them if they find them, but ghosts are usually inexpensive and used as feeders in the first place and they make a great snack regardless. I've got probably a dozen ghost shrimp in my 75 gallon with an angel and he hasn't found them yet, they stay on the bottom, he stays nearer the top.

As u guys imagined the shrimp did live in the bag I turned the heat up high wile driving to the restarant then wrapped them in a sweater. As far as my Angel goes he might have got one of the 16 shrimp so that's not bad but again like u said the shrimp are at the bottom and the angelsat the middle to top and the shrimp have plenty of places to hide. Thank u all so much I'll post some pics later if I can ever get some good pics
