Nice silver. He looks like he's getting to the point where the big growth spurt is gonna hit. Keep him very well fed and now is the time to get him onto a variety of foods! Hope he eats well for you... like mine. :fish:

Nice fish! I like the oscar too!

That is a great looking tank. What size is it?
I have never seen a large tank with the polished edges before.Just tens and twenties.

excellent info on feeding! my silver arrowana is my first and it has been awesome so far. I have him in a 224 gallon with 2 oscars. He has learned to be aggressive at feeding time cause the oscars are pigs!! Any thoughts on i am about to introduce my jardini he is 5 " and the silver is 8"-9" ? Oh bye the way i got my arowana to eat baked chicken strips out of my hand, thanks again for all your info!

Silver and jardini will not get along one bit. I wouldn't attempt it. Silver will probably get killed.

hmm, thanks for the info. I had read if put together at small sizes a better sucess at compatability. But now i am considering a new tank for him.

thanks, the LFS would be willing to swap out jardini for another silver. What do you think of 2 silvers in my 224 gal?

2 silvers together is a major toss up. The more room, the better your chances. Also rasing them together since they were small will help your chances. Putting 2 of them in a 225 I think won't be a good choice, but it could work. You said yours is 6"? That may be small enough to work for awhile, but be prepared for future fighting.

I guess I will stay with only one for now untill I get another super tank someday. Thanks I never had arowanas before so its hard to imagine a fish thats 3.5 times bigger than a full grown oscar. I will be better off with one and just a couple other fish mates.
