View Full Version : Name That Actor Game

Haven't done this one for a while..

Here's how it goes:

You think of an actor or actress that is alive today, you give us a couple hints (quotes of theirs from movies, where they were born, notable co-stars, stuff like that), and first one to guess the correct person gets to come up with his own entry.

Rules:

1. The person must be alive today.

2. They must be primarily known as a movie actor. There's alot of actors that have started in TV and now make movies, and vice-versa (Tom Selleck, Jim Carrey, George Clooney, etc.), but we mostly think of them as movie actors, right?

3. Unless you are 100% sure you have the correct answer, or either the poster who forwarded the entry or anyone else concurs that your entry is correct, wait for confirmation before posting your entry.

4. Once the person has been done already, you can't use him again.

5. Let's all try to make this inclusive as possible.. Think of popular, mainstream actors and actresses.. Not 95 year olds from 1950's film noirs.

I'll keep score on my blog.

Oh, one other thing..

From now on, to keep things moving along I would ask that every poster who's turn it is to forward an entry, they have to PM me the correct answer.

That way we're not sitting around waiting for the poster to give confirmation of the correct answer for days on end (hopefully I'll be quicker)..

If nobody gets it after say 12 hours, either myself or the poster will give another hint or 2..

But after 24 hours or so with no correct answer and no bites to the hints provided thereafter the answer will be given and a new entry will be forwarded by either myself or the poster who posted the stumper (like I say, folks, the fun is in the guessing, not the stumping, so let's keep the actors mainstream)..

PS

I'd like to participate in this game myself, so you'll just have to trust me when I say I'll ONLY look at the PM with the correct answer after 12 hours with no word from the original poster wether any guesses up to that point are the correct ones.. At that point I'll look so I can provide another clue or 2 to keep things rolling, at which point I'll of course be precluded from the running for that particular entry..
Prize:

However many AC points I have by the time we pull the plug, a reputation point from me, and the right to put "2009 Name That Actor Game Champ" in your sig.. :)

Ok, here we go..

I was a carpenter when I was plucked for stardom. I have a prominent scar that I got in a car accident, not from a whip, as portrayed in one of my movies..

I was once considered the next great white acting hope.. Then I quit to try my hand at being boxing's great white hope (of all things!).. I did alright in the ring, but ended up a washed-up has-been anyways.. Ironically my return to the spotlight (well, my second) has me playing a washed up has-been..
