My new Dovii is doing awesome and growing like crazy! He has already doubled in size and is starting to become very outgoing and curious...this is normally where there aggression comes from. Since he is in my office tank at the moment pics will be tricky to get. Maybe i'll bring my digi into work tomorrow and i'll snap a few. thumbs2:

He is in with my africans and he is already going after fish 3-4 times his size! he's way too small to hurt them, but it's funny to watch!

LOL they are feisty. I say the second most feisty CA after the Sajica. Yes they are less aggressive but when they fight they do go after adult doovi ;-)

I haven't seen a fish come close to my old male Dovii. At 3" he nearly killed my 8-10 Jag overnight. His aggression was baically what caused his own death. Most will agree...the only fish that can contest the Dovii is the Umbee.

We'll agree to disagree on this one! :11: However I would rest easy knowing that if my Dovii shared a tank with a Sanjica...I would wake up in the morning still having a healthy Dovii! :22:

Dovii is the best CA Cichlid in the world...Sanjica = Dovii food! :hmm3grin2orange:

I know...I love it! It's fun watching them go from that helpless little fish to something that could rip your hand apart! Dovii get a heck of a set of teeth as they grow!

Here are the pics of the Dovii. First pic is of when we got him (about 3 weeks ago)...second two are from a few minutes ago. He has gone from about 3/4" to 1.5".
