Whats the largest tank I can get (and where) in the dimensions of 48"x12.5"x?"s? The largest I could come across was 60 gal (AGA).

Thanks in advance,

Ian

if in the ? you mean height, i guess it can get quite high. Keep in mind taller tanks dont get as much oxygen and are hard to clean

hope that was your question.

Theres a tank calculator on the side toolbar. click volume, and insert the dimensions

Those measurements are for a 55 gallon. A 75 is 48 x 18, a 90 gallon 48 x 18 (3 inches taller) all the way up to very, very large tanks. 72 inches long for a 100 gallon, etc.

Ian, I posted this link so you can look up the different sizes you find interesting.

I didn't explain that too well did I? The 90 gallon is the same length and width as the 75 gallon but 3 inches taller. I should have posted that better.

I was looking for a tank with those measurements and the height measurement being as large as possible. Reason being I have a stand made for a 55 gal, and would like to use the largest tank possible. I had seen before a 75 gallon the same measurements as a 55 gallon but taller, but they weren't local and I'm not paying for shipping a tank that far.

Reptileguy, where have you seen the 65 gallon?

Thanks,

Ian

u also have to consider weight...
if the stand was made for a 55g it might not stand the weight of a heavier tank.....

If the difference between breaking or not is 20 gallons, I would not put any tank on that stand, so it should be fine. They can hold much more than the tanks they are made for.

I saw them at a LFS near me, I am pretty sure they were Perfecto though (now also Marineland).
