on my 10g with the condylactis and live rock, and soon to be clownfish, hermit crabs, and cleaner shrimp, i have a fluorescent fixture and blue actinic fixture. During the day, both are on. At night, do i shut them both off, or just have the blue actinic on? thanks in advance

i cant remember, but its the correct watts for a salt tank.

Im just wondering since my lfs has their 10g nanotank display with 15 corals and 2 clown's lights off at night, and theres no light to the tank

Only 30 watts?!?!?!?!?!?! well. im going to have 35 here in about 5 days, so i can get some lightweight coral action going on.

Son of a cracker, i also have another 15w on the tank thats placed behind. 45W total then

Im curbed for anenomes. My condy will kill anyother ones, so at least i wont go crazy buying anenomes. Tomorrow, im getting another bucket of sea salt, and 3 hermit crabs for the tank, and on the weekend the clownfish and shrimp hopefully

They should all go off at night. They sell moon lights, little 3/4-1 watt blue LED lights. Those would be what you want if you want a night light, which is a good idea.

What is the scientific name of the condylactus?

for a condy, i think condylactis sp. is the scientific name

Lights off at night. You can get the moonlights if you want to but it isn't necessary. I bet you're pysched about the fish and all!!! :19:

One thing about the hermit crabs....you need to provide them with extra shells that they can grow into. You can often find shells at craft stores just make sure the shells aren't painted!

Do you have any snails? Are you going to get any?

my internet just got fixed.

Im going in about 30 minutes to get salt stuff. Probably snails and hermits.

The clownfish is gonna wait for a bit
